AUSTRALIAN LONE WORKER ALARM lone-worker-bluetooth-app How does it work?

There are dozens of lone worker devices on the market that can help people call for help with the press of a button. Most of them, rely on having expensive equipment, highly technical manuals, and they tend to charge a monthly fee that can eventually dwarf the price of the product itself. This lone worker app (V.Alrt) is a lone worker app that uses tech within your own smart phone, works anywhere you have a phone signal and doesn’t come with any monthly fees.

This device works Australia wide unleashing your own smart phone technology.

The first step is downloading the FREE app to any compatible smartphone (App download instructions are provided within the manual) .  The Lone Worker Panic Button connects to the smartphone via bluetooth connection.  So if the user doesn’t have a modern smartphone, this is not the right product for them.

The App works on iPhone 4s/IOS 7 or newer and any smartphone using Android 4.3 or newer with Bluetooth 4.3.

The bluetooth feature on your smart phone must be turned ON

Turn on the free app then add the panic button to your phone using the bluetooth – customize your personal  ‘help me’ messages -Instructions are provided.

When the panic button is pressed, the app on your phone sends text messages to preset contacts and initiates phone calls to people on the list.

The messages contain a link to the GPS location of the person in needs phone so that family and friends know where to go and who else to call to get additional help.

The app, when activated, also sounds an alarm on the phone itself to alert those nearby of an emergency. All this happens within a few seconds of pressing and holding the button for a couple seconds. Conveniently, the alarm can be easily cancelled if triggered accidentally.

The device also has a ‘serious fall’ sensor that will automatically activate if it senses a life threatening impact. If a fall is detected, the app will send an alert after a 60 second countdown to eliminate the chances of false alarms.  If a user has a fall and is able to press the button themselves, then that scenario would be ideal.  The fall detection feature is meant for situations where the user is not able to press the button themselves.

The device does beep whenever it goes out of range of the phone and the app will sound a chime if it’s not picking up the buttons Bluetooth signal.

One of the best parts of the lone worker panic button is that you don’t have to recharge it. There’s a standard sized watch battery inside that powers all the electronics for up to a year

The panic button is waterproof and can be worn in the bath and shower.

There are no monthly fees, no set-up costs, no contracts.  This is a safety device that could be shared among users if needed.

This lone worker app is an excellent and very affordable option for people that want to have an easy way of getting help when emergencies come about.
